How does membership work?

Storyblocks provides affordable subscriptions to high-quality stock video, audio, and image libraries. Subscriptions can be purchased separately or include access to all three. Your subscription will provide access to download from our Member Library content. Our Basic plans offer an affordable option for hobbyists and casual creators with limited Member Library downloads per month as well as access to HD footage only on video.

What if I want to change plans or cancel my account?

To make changes to your membership status, simply visit your Member Dashboard. You can cancel anytime—otherwise your account will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle.

For the Basic plan, how do download limits work?

The Basic plan lets you download any five HD videos from the Member Library each month. Download credits do not rollover and restart at the beginning of each month.

Don’t want to deal with limits? You can switch to our Video Unlimited plan anytime. You can download as much as you want from the Member Library, including After Effects templates, 4K footage, and more!

How often does Storyblocks add new content?

We add new content to our Member Library about once per month. We look at the most frequent search terms and find footage to fill those gaps.

What’s the difference between a license that covers an individual and a license that covers a business?

A license that covers an individual gives one person the coverage and usage rights for content. Only you can use the assets you download. You can share finished projects however you like—you just can’t distribute the original stock media files. A license that covers a business provides usage rights for all your team’s seat holders. You and your business are covered with up to $1M in indemnification and truly unlimited distribution. Assets can be shared across a team, department, or even entire company—depending on the number of seats purchased. If you need our content licensed to your business, talk to our Enterprise team.

What if my company or client requires specific licensing terms?

What is “indemnification” and why does it matter?

“Indemnification” is a legal guarantee that any and all content used, as provided for in the contract, will not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party. We bet our own money on it! If any issue does arise, we’ll ensure you’re covered up to your indemnification limit—that’s $20,000 for Standard License holders and $1M for Enterprise license holders. If you’re interested in enhanced indemnity, talk to our Enterprise team.
